WePresent invited renowned artist Olafur Eliasson to be the 2024 guest curator.
The visual identity it's updated every year, according to the guest. For Eliasson’s we explored the intersection of art, perception, and the environment—reflecting the artist's unique voice and vision.
Drawing from his fascination with color, nature, and movement, the visual design aimed to translate his sensorial world into a digital experience. Elements floated gently across the screen, creating a sense of layered depth and space. The end result is a calming atmosphere that encourages the user to interact with the content in a, almost ethereal way.
Lifeworld
Olafur Eliasson's Lifeworld is a site-specific artwork for public screens in cities such as New York, London, Seoul, and Berlin, as well as online through WeTransfer. Commissioned by CIRCA, Lifeworld captures the immediate environment at each location and, through a temporal and spatial blur effect specially designed by Eliasson, presents an alternative view of the city. This surprisingly soft, abstract perspective aims to create a moment of reflection, redirecting viewers' focus to their current surroundings and sense of self.

Together with Olafur's studio and Circa, we worked on embedding this experience into WeTransfer's platform, renowned for its top-tier online advertisements. The experience flow began with an introductory video, followed by four minutes of Olafur's blurred visual ads, and a call-to-action button leading viewers to Lifeworld's landing page. This page houses all the information about the artwork, with a visual identity marked by bold typography with brutalist motion and negative spaces that become intentionallly more or less imprecise, on scroll. Micro-interactions, such as the locations menu and shop section, along with blurred content transitions, created a dynamic and balanced user experience.
